On 24th of May, we had successfully exposed our 2nd Smart City Development Seminar, “Development of lively future city with distributed energy resources”, co-hosting with Urasoe City at Tedako Hall, and about 180 people had gathered and listened to the talks on a day.
The agenda of this seminar is to publicize various activities around development such as vitalization of cities with local impact including education as well as improvement in resilience against disaster to Urasoe citizens and audiences who give attention to the project.
At first part, our guest speaker, Mr. Shuzo Murakami, Honorary Professor of Tokyo University/President of Institute for Building Environment and Energy Conservation (IBEC), has presented how significant the distributed energy is with the view of SDGs(Sustainable Development Goals).
At the second part, panel discussion regarding to befit of citizens through this smart city development, the current activities, and foresight into the future. The discussion between panelists from Urasoe City, Land readjustment association, local school, as well as our entity, Urasoe Distributed Energy Co.,ltd., was facilitated by Mr. Miyagi, the director of Urasoe City and Director of Urasoe Smart City Infrastructures Development Co., Ltd.
We are planning to have another seminar with tour of newly to-be-built Energy Center. Therefore we look forward to showing our progress and plans.
